Music revenue sharing · 90% creators / 10% NCOS

For participating music uses agreed with the applicable rights holders, ninety percent (90%) of Music Revenue is allocated to the participating artists and other entitled rights holders, and ten percent (10%) is retained by Nautical Compass OS (NCOS).

“Music Revenue” means amounts actually collected by NCOS specifically for music access, music licensing, or music add-on services, excluding taxes collected for remittance, refunded amounts, and reversed or charged-back payments. Virtual rent, storefront fees, and advertising charges are separate and are not included. Bundled charges must identify the music portion separately.

NCOS pays payment-processing fees from its own ten percent (10%) share; those fees do not reduce the ninety percent (90%) rights-holder allocation. Where multiple works or rights holders participate, the ninety percent allocation is a shared pool distributed under the applicable agreed ownership splits and allocation method, not ninety percent payable separately to every participant.

A participating music agreement must identify the authorized uses, recipients, allocation method, reporting period, and payment schedule. This clause does not itself grant permission to use music, authorize brand endorsement, amend an existing signed agreement, or represent that automated royalty payments are currently operating. Podcast sponsorship and other non-music advertising require separate terms.

Audio processing features are still being expanded.

Uploaded masters are preserved in private storage and playable via secure links. AAC playback derivatives are produced once the transcode worker is connected.
